Toterly is a local, Baltimore based storage service built around reusable totes and door to door pickup and delivery. You choose a service (Dorm Drop, Semester & Summer, or Anytime Totes), complete a quick form, and we handle the rest.

A Toterly tote is a sturdy, reusable hard-plastic container designed to protect your belongings far better than cardboard boxes. Each tote measures 26" L × 19" W × 14" H (about the size of a large checked suitcase).
Totes stack securely in storage, have attached lids, and are protected from weather. You can see a photo example of a fully packed tote on the More Info pages for each service.
In addition to totes and boxes, we can store many common dorm items such as mini-fridges, microwaves, small furniture, floor mirrors, and bikes. Extra-large or unusual items may require a custom quote. If you’re not sure, just send us a quick description or photo and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
For Summer and Semester services, pricing is based on the number of totes, boxes, and large items you store, along with the length of storage (for example, a full summer or a single semester).
For Dorm Drop, pricing is based on the number of totes that are filled and delivered to your dorm before move-in.
Once your order is created, you’ll receive a secure payment link through Stripe. We accept all major credit cards, and you can always view your current balance and payment link on your Order Status page.
We cannot accept perishables, open food, liquids that may leak, hazardous or flammable materials, illegal items, or high-value items that require special insurance (such as cash, jewelry, passports, or irreplaceable documents). We also follow your school’s housing policies, so any prohibited dorm items cannot be stored or returned to campus housing.
Your items are stored in a local facility with limited access and organized by student order. Totes and boxes are stacked securely, labeled with your order details, and handled by a small, local team. We treat every order like it belongs to a member of our own family.
Yes. Parents and guardians can manage the account and make payment using the secure Stripe link. When completing the sign-up form, the person paying should fill out the main contact and billing section.
If a parent or guardian is paying but the service is for a student, simply add the student’s name, school, and housing details in the "Add Student Info" section of the form. This ensures we deliver to the correct dorm or apartment and send updates to the right person.
If the student is paying, there is no need to enter their information twice, we will assume the student is both the payer and the service recipient unless separate student details are provided.
If your plans change and you need your items back early, or you need to extend storage beyond the original return date, reach out to us as soon as possible. We’ll work with you on an updated delivery or extended storage option and let you know about any additional charges before we make changes.
Any address changes can be made by emailing us your updated information. For security, please ensure the request comes from the same email address used to create the account. You can also call us if you prefer to make changes by phone.
For Summer and Semester storage programs, your pick up address and available dates will be requested by email approximately 30 days before your school’s scheduled move out period.
For returns and Dorm Drop services, you will be notified by email to provide delivery details through an online form about 30 days prior to move in for your school.
If you notice damage or a missing item upon delivery, please contact us right away with photos and a brief description. We’ll review what happened, guide you through the next steps, and work with you toward a fair resolution based on the policies outlined in our Terms & Conditions.
You can ship and submit your Dorm Drop order up to 45 days before classes start. For best results, complete your order at least 2 weeks before move-in.
After you submit the Dorm Drop form, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your unique reference number (e.g., #REF12345). Please include this on every package label.
Standard boxes or totes can be up to 61” total dimensions (length + width + height). Small items are combined into a Toterly tote (about the size of checked airline luggage) and counted as one box. For oversized shipments, contact us for a custom quote.
We update your Order Status page and email you the carrier and tracking number each time a package arrives or is picked up.
Clicking that button confirms all your items are in. We then generate your final invoice and enable the payment link on the status page.
After you confirm receipt of all shipments, you’ll receive an email with a secure payment link. We accept all major credit cards via Stripe. Payment must be completed before delivery scheduling.
We’ll text you a delivery reminder. If you miss your slot, we can reschedule or hold your items at our warehouse for pickup.
Toterly Summer stores your totes and larger items for the entire summer or semester break and returns everything when classes resume.
Submit the Toterly form on our website. We’ll email you to schedule your tote drop-off before the semester ends. Around 30 days before your university’s move-in day, you’ll receive a reminder email to confirm your return details and update your delivery location.
You can pack using Toterly totes (provided by us) or your own boxes. Common items include bedding, clothing, books, school supplies, and dorm décor. You can also store large items (desks, chairs, floor mirrors, bikes) and small appliances (mini-fridges, microwaves).
Pricing is based on the number of totes or packages stored. There is a 4-month minimum which covers a typical summer break. Pricing includes drop-off, pick-up, storage, and delivery back when the new semester begins.
Perishables, liquids prone to leaking, hazardous materials, and valuables requiring special insurance (cash, jewelry, passports). Also, anything prohibited by your housing or campus policies.
Anytime Totes provides totes that you fill; we pick them up and store them until you’re ready for delivery—no fixed schedule required.

As long as you need. Pay monthly for stored totes or packages and request delivery when you’re ready.
Yes. You can ship items to us and we’ll add them to your order to store with your pre-existing items.
