What You Can Store
Toterly Totes
Great for clothing, bedding, shoes, books, school supplies, and dorm decor. You can also pack your own boxes up to a total of 61" combined dimensions (length + width + height).
Large Items
We can store approved large items such as desks, chairs, floor mirrors, bikes, mini-fridges, microwaves, TVs, and monitors.
Many customers choose our $15 wrapping service to help protect items like TVs, microwaves, mirrors, and mini-fridges during transport and storage.

Large Item Prep Guide
If you are storing large items, here are the main things to know before pickup. If you are ever unsure, contact us and we’ll help review it with you.
- Desks must be fully disassembled before pickup. The desktop and legs should be separated so the desk is flat and ready to wrap.
- If you wrap your own desk, the desktop, legs, and drawers should be wrapped. Flat pieces can often be wrapped together, while drawers may be wrapped together separately.
- TVs and monitors may be wrapped together with desk components when appropriate. If attaching a monitor or TV to a desktop, please remove the stand first.
- Floor mirrors should have corners protected with bubble wrap or padding and be fully wrapped or covered.
- Desk chairs generally do not require wrapping and can usually be transported as-is.
- Mini-fridges do not require wrapping, but the door must be taped or secured. Fridges must be clean and completely emptied of food or liquids.
- Microwaves do not require wrapping, though protective wrap is recommended. If the glass plate remains inside, it should be wrapped and the door taped shut.
- No loose hardware: screws, bolts, and small parts should be placed in a sealed bag and taped securely to the item.
- Individual wrapped pieces should ideally remain under 50 lbs for safe handling.
- Items that are not properly prepared may require our wrapping service or may need to be scheduled for a later pickup.

Free Comforter Compression
Comforters and bulky bedding can take up a lot of space in storage. To help maximize your tote space, Toterly provides one complimentary vacuum storage bag per order with any tote reservation.
- Place your comforter inside the provided vacuum bag
- Leave the bag accessible when we pick up your totes
- Our team will vacuum seal the bag during pickup
- Once compressed, the comforter can usually fit neatly inside your tote
- Please leave a small amount of room in one tote so the compressed comforter can be placed inside during pickup
What’s Not Allowed
- Loose batteries of any kind, including lithium-ion batteries, rechargeable packs, power banks, or damaged/swollen batteries
- Perishables, leaking liquids, or hazardous materials
- Valuables requiring special insurance, such as cash, jewelry, or passports
- Anything prohibited by your housing or campus policies
